President Donald Trump railed against MSNBC analyst and The Atlantic staff writer Ashley Parker on Monday after she reached out to the president about conducting an interview.

“Third Rate Magazine, ‘The Atlantic,’ that made up the ‘Suckers and Losers’ Hoax about me and the Military, and refused to even acknowledge the vast horde of people who emphatically denied this FAKE STORY, has asked me to do an interview,” wrote Trump in a Truth Social post:

Below is my response:

Ashley Parker is not capable of doing a fair and unbiased interview. She is a Radical Left Lunatic, and has been as terrible as is possible for as long as I have known her. To this date, she doesn’t even know that I won the Presidency THREE times. If you have some other reporter, let us know, but Ashley is not capable or competent enough to understand the intricacies of High Level politics. Likewise, Michael Scherer has never written a fair story about me, only negative, and virtually always LIES. The Atlantic is doing terribly, losing a fortune, and will hopefully fold up and be gone in the not too distant future. It has absolutely no credibility, and would be far better off, in terms of “journalism,” to cease publication. Nevertheless, when you have a writer with intelligence, competence, and fairness, please let me know!

Parker – who has a history of swiping at Trump and his supportersleft the Washington Post earlier this year to join The Atlantic following Trump’s 2024 election victory.

In 2020, Parker accused Trump of spreading “downright lies,” while in 2019, she accused the president of being an “easy mark” for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Atlantic and its staff also have a long history of attacking Trump and his allies – accusing the president of “talking like Hitler,” claiming working-class Americans would “punch him out,” controversially alleging that he made disparaging remarks about war veterans, and dedicating an entire issue to the potential negative ramifications of a second Trump term.

Trump, meanwhile, celebrated layoffs at the magazine in 2020 and suggested that it wouldn’t be around “much longer.”

“Great News: The boring but very nasty magazine, The Atlantic, is rapidly failing, going down the tubes, and has just been forced to announce it is laying off at least 20% of its staff in order to limp into the future,” he wrote at the time. “This is a tough time to be in the Fake News Business!”

More recently, in 2023, Trump again dismissed The Atlantic as a “THIRD RATE MAGAZINE” and claimed it was “failing at a level seldom seen before.”
