Bee Cave industrial park trial moved to February 2026

Date:

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A trial over whether industrial warehouses in Bee Cave can continue construction was moved from August 2025 to February 2026, according to the city of Bee Cave.

The city’s special counsel, Casey Low, “received a signed order from the court rescheduling the trial,” the city said on social media Tuesday. The trial will now happen on Feb. 23, 2026, according to the city.

The city said that the “court determined that a new trial date was necessary due to the complexity of the case, the volume of discovery materials, and the number of parties involved.”

The facility is near the intersection of State Highway 71 and Serene Hills Drive.

In August 2024, the city filed a lawsuit against the developer of the project, Velocis, to block the development. Lakeway City Council voted to join that lawsuit, and a nearby housing developer also added its name to the suit, KXAN previously reported.

This has been an extensive battle against the distribution center — a nearly 270,000-square-foot property that would have three buildings with 80 docking bays to hold big rigs, along with warehouse space and offices, KXAN reported in October 2024.

At that time, a Travis County judge approved a temporary restraining order to stop building the industrial park in the city of Bee Cave’s jurisdiction.

Then, in January, a Travis County judge ruled that construction could continue at the industrial park.
