For many, that means a .45 ACP. The barrels all run from 3\u201d to 3.3\u201d. For some, all of these guns are just too small for their hands.\u00a0For others, one will fit them quite well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheaperthandirt.com\/colt\/firearms\/handguns\/?brand=Colt&amp;utm_source=blog.cheaperthandirt&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=best-45-pistols-concealed-carry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colt<\/a> Defender and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheaperthandirt.com\/firearms\/handguns\/?fq=brand%3AKimber&amp;utm_source=blog.cheaperthandirt&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=best-45-pistols-concealed-carry\">Kimber<\/a> Ultra CDP are 1911-style guns. This means that despite their diminutive size, they have the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cheaperthandirt.com\/getting-best-grips-grip-angle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grip angle<\/a> and manual of arms of a 1911.\u00a0For those who are comfortable with that, it will go a long way towards working for them. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheaperthandirt.com\/springfield\/firearms\/handguns\/?brand=Springfield&amp;utm_source=blog.cheaperthandirt&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=best-45-pistols-concealed-carry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Springfield<\/a> XD-S is sort of a hybrid, in that it has some of the attributes of a 1911 married to a plastic-fantastic package. These guns do not have single-stack mags, but in an attempt to reduce width, they are certainly not double-stacked either. By widening the magazine a bit, a few more cartridges can be stuffed in without changing the height of the gun much.<\/p>\n<p>The differences here are a bit more pronounced, but just barely.\u00a0The barrels are all fairly close to 3.75\u201d long.\u00a0The overall lengths are pretty close to 7.25\u201d. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheaperthandirt.com\/glock-30s-gen-3-.45-acp-semi-auto-pistol-3.77-barrel-10-rounds-black\/FC-764503822018.html?utm_source=blog.cheaperthandirt&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=best-45-pistols-concealed-carry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Glock<\/a> is quite a bit lighter, at just over 20 ounces, while the other two are very close to six ounces heavier.\u00a0This is slightly odd, as the Glock has the larger capacity at 10+1, but it does have a thicker grip and polymer magazines.<\/p>\n<p>Again, just like with the single-stack options, the real determinants will be the things that do not show up on the spec sheet.\u00a0Is the Glock too chunky to hide easily or is extra width of the grip less comfortable?
