Joe Rogan Falls For Fake AI Video of Tim Walz Dancing

Date:

Podcast host Joe Rogan repeatedly argued with his producer after insisting that a fake, AI-generated video of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz dancing was “100% real.”

“You know what’s really fun? When someone is in that whole race and running for president or vice president, and then the race is over and they realize that person was a liability, so they cut them off and then that person goes wacky like Tim Walz,” said Rogan during an interview with comedian Tim Dillon. “Did you see where he had a ‘F*** Trump’ shirt on and he’s dancing and going down an elevator? Have you seen this video?”

Rogan then instructed his producer Jamie Vernon to find the “weird” clip.

As Vernon pulled up the video, Dillon asked, “Is that really him?”

Rogan could then be heard arguing with his producer over whether or not it was real:

Vernon: No, it’s not real.

Rogan: Yes, it’s real.

Vernon: No, it’s not.

Rogan: Yes, it is.

Vernon: It’s AI-generated.

Rogan: No, no, no. It’s real.

Vernon: No, look, I can tell it’s not real.

Rogan: I love it. It’s real. It’s gotta be real. It has to be real.

Dillon: Jamie’s compromised.

Rogan: Look at him dancing. That is so real, Jamie.

Rogan insisted, “He slaps his ass. Definitely him. This is 100% real, Jamie.”

The podcast host was then shown a caption that stated that the video was AI-generated.

“‘Riley Moore fell for an AI-generated video of Minnesota Gov–’ I fell for it too, and do you know why I fell for it? Because I believe that he’s capable of doing something that dumb,” said Rogan. “He’s so weird.”

Dillon concluded, “He’s a weird guy. He’s in the CCP. He’s controlled by Communist China, most likely.”
