Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was unapologetic after media reports showed photographs of her attending a Halloween party with her boyfriend dressed as a Mexican woman and an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.

According to a report by ABC News, Boebert and her boyfriend, real estate broker Kyle Pearcy, attended a Halloween party together last Friday, and it seems that a party guest took offense to their costumes, leaking photos to the media.

In the photos, Pearcy is dressed as an ICE agent in military fatigues and an ICE vest, while Boebert is wearing a sombrero, Mexican-style costume dress, and large hoop earrings.

The ABC News report quoted an anonymous party attendee who described how offensive the other people at the party thought Boebert and Pearcy’s costumes were.

“It is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen,” the guest said. “Even the conservatives [at the party] were in shock. People avoided them.”

Another photo of the couple from the party circulated on social media, showing Boebert holding up a sign that said, “Mexican Word of the day: JUICY. Tell me if…Juicy Ice coming,” a mocking mispronunciation of “you see” as “juicy.”

Boebert’s office was unapologetic when reached for comment by ABC News, releasing the following statement:

It’s a Halloween costume. Tell our Senators to vote for the CR and open the government. They are choosing to let millions of American families suffer.
